oprah.comIf you are an Oprah fan, you have undoubtedly visited the oprah.com website. It seems to have changed in recent days. Instead of having the slow loading home page, she has adopted a more MSN approach, where she has her daily top picks flashing at you in a slide show, and the rest of the content surrounding the top picks. Obviously, her top picks are about past or upcoming shows, and the other links are for features and summaries from other shows. According to Alexa data, her website ranks in the top 3,000 of all the billions of web sites out there. However, that ranking is down from May for oprah.com, when it was in the top 1,000. But it's summer, and summer is a slow time for website users. I also read recently that some people are not watching the Oprah show as frequently as they used to because she is getting to be too "new age" for them. The oprah.com website shows that she is getting less traffic, so it will be interesting to see over time, if the theories about her declining popularity are true.
