The biography of Oprha Winfrey in terms of her upbringing is widely known already so I wanted to take a look at how she moved from selling out Oprah tickets for her show to becoming the billionaire entrepreneur she is today. Her success did not occur overnight. She began her show in 1986, gained a fan base and by 1988 was cast in her break out role for the The Color Purple. This diversified her onstage abilities but did not point to the birth of a mogul. It was not until she began the Oprah Magazine, took full control of Harpo Productions, created a book club, began charitable organizations, and schools that she was considered a knowledgeable Chicago based tycoon.
She has always had heartfelt goals to better the lesser fortunate, which has helped skyrocket her popularity and success during new business ventures. Never forgetting her past and the millions of fans who have made Oprah.com so successful has increased the longevity of her success. She will continue to grow as a mogul and world influence as she gets older. Write Oprah if you have a story that you think the whole world needs to know.
