I have read a biography on Oprah Winfrey so I know that she has successfully surmounted many obstacles in her own life. I respect Oprah Winfrey’s values and beliefs and think that she is obviously a woman with abundant common sense and a high emotional quotient. Furthermore, Oprah Winfrey seems to have remained true to her roots despite all of her fame and fortune. I feel confident that if I decided to write Oprah and ask for help with a serious problem or honorable cause, she would try to help me if it were in her power to do so. If ever you need help with an unusual problem, you have nothing to lose if you contact Oprah Winfrey to see if she has any advice to offer. After all, she is perhaps the most famous humanitarian woman in this country.

Oprah Winfrey has been known to support some pretty incredible causes in the past, and it's no secret that she has an immense amount of wealth with which to make dreams come true. Or, if you prefer the old school way of communicating, why not write Oprah with your wish list?

Really, with Oprah on your side, the sky is the limit when it comes to making a wish come true, or when it comes to some great humanitarian cause, so why not contact Oprah Winfrey?

Over the four days that it will span many celebrities including Oprah.com have confirmed that they’ll be there. Along with the Oprah.com camp will be Kanye West, Bono, Ben Affleck and Hillary Clinton. This will definitely be a star studded event.

In a recent smear campaign, John McCain attacked Obama for being a celebrity favorite. These propaganda ads have done nothing short of backfire on him. What he forgot to remember is that plenty of republican celebrities actually won their way into office including Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Any way you look at it though these two presidential candidates are neck and neck in the polls. It seems like the country is split. I wouldn’t contact Oprah Winfrey if you plan to be in attendance during the Bronco Stadium event but do expect to see her and other celebs as mentioned. The Republican party with the help of the RIAA are countering this party with their own that will feature Chris Daughtry.

She did state that she did not want to take the spotlight off him during his big moment but the two have been seen at democratic support conventions throughout his campaign.
 
She may be tired of speaking on his behalf, who knows. Don’t expect to be getting free Oprah tickets when venturing out to Obama’s opening fall last hike towards the Oval Office. If he makes it, of course.

People close to her say she will be in attendance though but hidden away from the public eye. We will see how long that will last. Write Oprah if you think she should say a few helpful words after or before Obama’s speech otherwise you probably will only catch a glimpse of her on the jumbo-tron. Don’t let Oprah sway your vote, call it as you see it.
]]> Fri, 15 Aug 2008 00:38:39 GMT <![CDATA[Oprah.com Feature: The Power of NO]]> So I decided to check out Oprah.com to see what the latest buzz was on the website.  I saw some interesting articles, including one about a 300 pound plus teenager who wants gastric bypass surgery, but the one that really caught my eye was called "The Power of No".

I found this article to be really humorous.  It has scenarios for a lot of the situations we are forced to lie or put on a smile during each day.  One example is of the friend who asks you "Do I look good in this?"  Then this situation is broken down into two scenarios:  is the friend has not bought the outfit and if it has already been purchased.  If the friend is trying it on for the first time, Oprah.com says to tell them  they look great, but the outfit does not look right.  But if they have already purchased the clothes, tell them you like it, but prefer one of their old outfits.  Now when she comes out in a bad outfit, I'm going to write Oprah and tell her I like her old look better :).

Although it was a bit funny, the ideas were actually very creative, professional ways to deal with those annoying situations in life.  I would recommend checking this Oprah.com article out and do not tell me no.]]> Sat, 09 Aug 2008 02:33:36 GMT <![CDATA[Oprah.com Site is Losing Visitors]]> If you are an Oprah fan, you have undoubtedly visited the oprah.com website. It seems to have changed in recent days. Instead of having the slow loading home page, she has adopted a more MSN approach, where she has her daily top picks flashing at you in a slide show, and the rest of the content surrounding the top picks. Obviously, her top picks are about past or upcoming shows, and the other links are for features and summaries from other shows. According to Alexa data, her website ranks in the top 3,000 of all the billions of web sites out there. However, that ranking is down from May for oprah.com, when it was in the top 1,000. But it's summer, and summer is a slow time for website users. I also read recently that some people are not watching the Oprah show as frequently as they used to because she is getting to be too "new age" for them. Since her show is aired during the day, many people miss it, but can watch some of the most interesting and controversial clips online 24/7. I missed one show that I meant to watch because I had to go to a meeting, but much of it was online at oprah.com, so I didn't miss too much. Streaming video and video playback are great features on web sites. What's really nice is not having to watch the commercials that interrupt the interviews on television. I don't know if it's just the oprah.com site that runs these videos without commercial interruption, but it sure is nice to watch the whole segment without annoying advertisements. Some of the news networks have ads that you have to sit through before they play your selection, but the oprah.com website does not do that, which is good because the last thing that Oprah Winfrey needs is more money.
